There is just nothing like a freshly brewed homemade cappuccino with amazingly thick and yummy foam!!
- Organic Milk (or if you need to keep it dairy-free – use almond, soy or rice milk – takes longer to foam and won’t be as thick).
- Narrow, tight weave whisk.
In stainless steel saucepan over medium-low heat, warm milk to steaming, whisking vigorously back and forth clockwise and counter clock wise until thick foam appears. DO NOT BRING TO A BOIL – it will completely deflate your foam.
It takes patience to create the perfect foam…but ohhhhh sooooo worth it!!
If you’d rather not whisk by hand, you can use your handheld immersion blender instead!
** Variations **
You can add any of your favorite flavorings – for example – we love to make cinnamon-vanilla cappuccino. We add 2 tsps vanilla, 2 tsp agave nectar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon while whisking.
